Carousel is the first subscription that gives you access to handbags from the world's top independent designers. We give independent handbag designers a megaphone and bring more voices to the table. We give our members the chance to find these independent designers, learn their stories and buy their bags through a monthly subscription.

How does it work?

The monthly subscription is $29, which will be applied towards the purchase of any bag you choose. There are no fees or shipping costs! Once the bag is fully purchased, then we will send the next bag you choose out of your rotation.

What happens when I add a bag to my rotation?

Your rotation tells us which bags you like. Think of adding a bag to your rotation like adding a bag to your closet. Once you have added bags to your rotation, then you can tell us which bag you'd like us to send. We will keep the rest of the bags you select in your rotation so you can easily revisit them in the future to select your next bag.

How much does it cost?

Your subscription is $29 per month. As a reminder, 100% goes towards the purchase of the bag you choose. You pay no shipping fees or any other kind of fee!

What does the term "subscription credits" mean?

When we use the term "subscription credits", we are simply saying that every dollar of your $29/month subscription is being applied (or credited) toward the retail value of the handbag. As an example, if you choose a $180 handbag, then your $29/month credit toward its purchase will allow you to pick a new bag in approximately 6 months.

Do I get to keep my bag?

Yes, of course. The bag is yours to keep. The best news is that you are eligible to receive another one as soon as your subscription credits complete the purchase of each bag.

How often will I receive a new bag?

You will be eligible to receive a new bag as soon as your current bag is fully paid. So the frequency depends on the retail price of the bag you choose. As an example, if you choose a $180 bag, you would be eligible to receive another one in about 6 months. If you choose a $300 bag, then you would be eligible to receive your next bag in about 10 months.

Can I choose to increase my membership fee so I will get new bags more frequently?

Yes, that is no problem at all. Just email us at and we can adjust your membership fee for you. No matter what level you choose, 100% of the fee will go towards the purchase of your bag. So the higher you make it, the faster you'll be eligible to receive your next bag.

Can I pay the remaining balance on my current bag so I can have another one sent to me more quickly?

Absolutely! Just email us at to let us know you'd like to do this. Then you can choose your next bag and we'll send it right away!

Do I have to pay sales tax?

You do not pay sales tax unless you live in Indiana (apologies to you Hoosiers out there).

What should I expect?

Are the bags new?

Yes, every bag you receive will be brand new.

What brands do you carry?

Our partners are the world’s best independent designers. You can learn about our current designers here. The list is always changing – we’ll make new designer announcement through Twitter and Instagram.

What do you mean by “independent designers”?

Independent designers own and operate their brand. Their design aesthetic reflects their personal story and character. Their handbags are usually manufactured in limited quantities and are not distributed in department stores or large retailers. Often, these designers were previously the most talented designers working at the large commercial brands, but have decided to blaze a new trail and start their own brand. Some are emerging brands and some are very seasoned, but all of them are masters of their craft. The difficult part is finding them…so we did it for you.

As a member, will I have the opportunity to meet or communicate with the designers?

Yes, we are happy to connect you with our designers and consider this to be a big benefit of membership. The fashion world can be intimidating, but they truly are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. Simply contact us and we’ll make introductions when appropriate.

How do you find designers?

We have hand-selected each of our designers using a proprietary selection process based on quality, price-point (only bags priced $120 and up qualify), reputation in the industry, and design aesthetic.

When will my credit card be charged?

Your credit card will be charged when you become a member, and it will be charged each month thereafter on the same day.

If I become a member, how long is my commitment?

You can cancel your membership at any time. All you need to do is pay any remaining balance on the bag that you are purchasing through your membership. We want your membership to be enjoyable, and forcing you to commit is certainly not enjoyable.

What does “surprise me” mean?

If you choose the “surprise me” option on your rotation, then we will select the bag from your rotation for you. This is a great option if you love them all so much that you just can't choose. We love it when you select this option, as we want you to feel like you are receiving a surprise gift in the mail.

Can I request specific pieces?

Yes, if you want a specific bag from your rotation, then simply select that bag on your rotation page and we’ll send it to you.

What are your “rules”?

As much as possible, we try not to have rules. We have our general system as we have outlined on this website, but we are always open to ideas to make your membership more valuable and enjoyable. If you want something that is a little out of the norm, then let us know and we’ll do everything we can to accommodate.

Returns and Shipping

What if I don't like my bag?

No problem at all! Just notify us via email within 3 days of receiving the bag, and you can return it for free. We'll even pay for the shipping by sending you a pre-paid label via email. Just make sure it is still in brand new condition, though, as we can't accept it if it has been used. Once you have sent it, you can select a new bag from your rotation and we'll send it to you right away. Easy peasy.

Do you ship internationally?

No. At this time, we only ship within the United States (lower 48 states only).

Do I have to pay for shipping?

You are going to love this answer: we pay for all shipping costs. Every dollar you pay for your subscription goes towards the purchase of the bag. Yay for you!

Do you ship to PO boxes?

Unfortunately, we cannot ship to PO boxes. We can, however, ship to any valid company, hotel, or residential address in the United States (lower 48 states only).

How long does it take to get a bag to me?

Depending on your location, it will generally take about 4-7 days for the bag to arrive.
